# About Order Limit: Shopify features and services

> Explore quantity, amount, weight and customer restrictions, Chinese-language support, practical guides and capabilities to compare when choosing an app.

Order Limit is an order restriction app for Shopify merchants. You can control how much customers buy, which purchase conditions they must meet and who can purchase. Use it for limited releases, wholesale minimums, member exclusives and repeat sample purchases.

## What can Order Limit do?

The Chinese names in the table match the app sidebar.

**Cumulative customer rules** (**客户累计规则**) belong to **Quantity limits**, rather than a fifth limit type. They check repeat purchases against recorded customer quantities. To let VIPs buy up to 4 units per order, use a customer-tag rule under **Quantity limits**. To let only VIPs buy, use **Customer limits**. You can combine both to control eligibility and quantity.
