# Require sign-in to buy selected Shopify products

> Create a sign-in-only customer rule with no tags. Select products, enable the rule and test guest checkout against signed-in customers with and without VIP.

Use a customer rule in Order Limit when buyers must sign in for selected products without needing a VIP or wholesale tag. This example allows any signed-in customer to buy one selected product.

## Before you begin

Prepare a purchasable product and a customer account that can sign in on your storefront. Confirm that the store sign-in flow works.

## Settings

## Steps

1. Open **Apps** → **订单限购** → **客户限制规则** in Shopify, then click **创建规则**.
2. Enter the rule name. Leave tags empty and select **需要客户账户登录**.
3. Under **规则应用于**, select **指定产品**, click **选择产品**, and confirm the test product name appears.
4. Select **仅结账时**, set **保存后的状态** to **已启用**, and click **创建并启用**.
5. Return to **客户限制**, turn on **开启客户限制规则**, and wait for successful saving. Reopen the rule to confirm the values.

## Boundaries

This rule does not hide products, create accounts or assign tags. Other active quantity, price, weight or eligibility rules still apply. A guest adding items to a cart does not prove a checkout-only rule failed.
