Order Limit shows a restriction message when a customer fails a rule. Configure messages in each category so customers know how to adjust their cart.

Edit a message

  1. Open the Quantity limits, Price limits, Weight limits or Customer restrictions overview.
  2. Under customer messages, click Configure messages.
  3. Choose an existing language or use Add language.
  4. Edit the relevant minimum, maximum, range or eligibility message.
  5. Click Save, then test with that storefront or checkout language.
Each category has its own templates. Product/variant quantity settings and quantity rules share the quantity templates; you do not edit a separate message for every rule.

Keep dynamic tokens intact

Use only tokens supported by that message category. Preserve the double braces and exact spelling when copying examples.

Quantity message

Amount message

Amount templates support {{itemName}}, {{minAmount}}, {{maxAmount}} and {{currentAmount}}.

Weight message

Weight templates support {{minWeight}}, {{maxWeight}} and {{currentWeight}}.

Eligibility and sign-in messages

In 客户限制, 禁止购买提示 and 需要客户账户登录提示 are separate fields. Eligibility messages support {{itemName}} and {{productTitle}}. Do not add quantity, amount or weight tokens.
For sign-in, ask customers to sign in and try again. Do not promise sign-in alone guarantees eligibility; tags may still apply.

Give customers a next step

Name the affected item, explain the threshold and state the action. Ask customers to reduce units for a maximum or increase applicable merchandise for a minimum amount. Trigger the rule after saving and verify real values replace tokens.

Test the selected language

Messages are selected using storefront/checkout language and available templates, with fallback text when needed. Locale matching details differ between categories, so test each enabled language and market.
A rule name is only for admin organization. Renaming it does not translate the customer message. Changing the documentation language also does not change your storefront message configuration.
If a message is wrong, check its category, language, saved state and token spelling.
