When Order Limit does not behave as expected, fix one product, one customer and one test cart. Change one setting at a time so you can identify the cause.
1

Check activation

Confirm the rule is not Draft. Reopen it after saving to check the stored values. Price, weight and customer rules need their own overview switches enabled. For quantity restrictions, check the appropriate Enable quantity rules or Enable product quantity limits switch and confirm Cart and checkout validation is enabled.
2

Check products and calculation

Verify the actual cart products are selected. Collections use current membership. Check whether the quantity calculation is individual or combined.
3

Check customer identity

Sign in with the correct account for tag tests. Check tags in the Shopify customer profile, confirm Add tag was used, and verify matching versus non-matching conditions.
4

Test at the right stage

Checkout-only rules do not check cart interactions. Quantity minimums also check at checkout. Successful add-to-cart alone does not prove the rule is failing.
5

Isolate other rules

Check list order, variant limits, combined rules and cumulative rules. Temporarily set unrelated rules to drafts, test, then restore them one at a time.

Troubleshoot by symptom

If saving fails

Read the page’s error. Too many collections, tags or message content may prevent saving. Reduce unnecessary configuration and try again; do not rely only on the switch’s appearance. For support, prepare the rule name, products, sign-in state, tags, cart quantities/amounts/weights, reproduction steps and actual message. Remove customer contact details and other personal information before sharing. See rule priority.

What to include when contacting us

Open the bottom-right contact entry to show the WeChat QR code. Include the rule category, intended result, saved settings and one allowed and one blocked test. Remove personal information first. Use the test record template.
